Our cadet programs, not only benefit the community through the volunteer services we provide, it serves the youth in our community. Civil Air Patrol develops youth through self-paced study of the art of leadership. Cadets learn how to lead through formal classroom instruction and a laboratory of hands-on experience where they apply leadership principles to real-world challenges.
In addition to the accomplishments in the profile of our squadron, there are many other functions that our cadets participate in. Among others, they comprised the majority of the volunteers at our Airport Day. They will be the noticeable force at the Easton Waterfowl Festival. In addition, they lay Wreaths Across America and are a part of Flags for Heroes. They also volunteer to assist Character Counts at their annual bicycle event. During the holidays, they support Talbot Optimist Club at their Christmas Tree Sales. They also participate in Rise Against Hunger, where they pack food and help in the distribution to the needy in our community.
They are always ready to help our community and we all should be proud supporting these young people.
As you may know, Civil Air Patrol is celebrating the Cadet Program’s 75th Year. The #75for75Challenge is designed to provide Civil Air Patrol Cadets a structured, well-marketed National Fundraising Campaign to deliver additional financial resources to their local units. This Challenge asks cadets to undertake goals that they personally set for themselves. To learn more about the Civil Air Patrol, visit: http://www.gocivilairpatrol.com
